Now they are together as Bindu moves into Abhi's place and they seem to be in a live-in relationship. Till now all this would still make some sense. But who will make us understand that why in the world she didn't love Abhi, when he was by her side from childhood till today, as a best friend and as a lover too. Now Bindu is a person which is by far the most unrelatable person one can see. I felt if the movie creators had put more effort in working on Bindu's character as a person not just on her physical appearances, it would have been an altogether different experience of watching it, I mean in a good way. Watch it for the nostalgia trip, the story, the performances and Parineeti's amazing singing! The basic necessity of a person watching this film would be to understand Bindu, and why is she not loving Abhi back to the extent of marrying him.

Though I must praise Parineeti's voice which is indeed magical, but all that magic of her voice vanishes when we see Bindu who do not come up as a strong character that could leave any impression on your head. Also I personally feel, more than the delightful visuals it's the emotion and sense in the story that stays with you, once the movie ends, which was lacking here a lot. Fed up with the lack of critical appreciation despite being a successful writer, Abhimanyu Roy returns to his roots in Kolkata to write more meaningful literature and decides on an old-fashioned love story — which was now, 3 years in the making. Abhi has a very loving and caring family, that cherishes his success and homecoming with full vigour. The only emotional scene created by Bindu in the entire movie where we could connect to her was when she sings 'do nayna' in a college performance, dedicating the song to her mother, who recently died in a car accident because of her father's mistake drunk driving. And when Abhi asks her then what does she want to do, to which Bindu simply says that she doesn't know what she wants from herself.
This present a temporarily uncooperative mind is called Bindu Parineeti Chopra. It is raining, they start dancing together in the rain, music is playing in the background and the movie ends. Now is that all we could know about 'the character' of the movie on which movie's title itself is based on. It will melt and break your heart into pieces. At least unfolding answers to these questions was the basic expectation from the film, which writers didn't care to work on in the entire movie.
