Subaru would not help at all. I have an H6 and the rpms don't hang more than any other emission-controlled vehicle we own. Still driveable, but full turbo function can only be had by expensive replacement. Removal of glue from rear carpet. Steering, ride, fit and finish, controls. If a company has a known defect ,my feeling is they should re-call and fix it.
In all my years of owning vehicles, i have never ran into such an unreliable vehicle such as Subaru. Subaru is taking safety to new limits. The head blew a week later. Lazy and in a hurry. I can live with driver side alarm, and I certainly buckle up a lot more these days, but geez, give a guy a break on the other side.
Just because the dealer or shop does it does not necessarly mean it is done right. It was a 2005, and never gave me any issue, but for the normal maintenance of brakes, tires and tune ups. From 3-5-08 when the last major inspection was done the front rotors were marked;may require follow up attention. Very important to take to someone who knows what it takes to do it right and many do not know including dealerships. My Forester has 83K miles at that point. Independent garages are unable to verify if true. I'd hate to see your head as a hood ornament on your car.

I still check it in case it increases, but besides that, the car is fine with nearly 80,000 miles 2013 Legacy. At 37,778 miles the radio was replaced due to it shorting out.
I am reading up about the Head Gasket issue. Dealer replaced the throttle body including sensor and actuator. At this stage, you will also notice higher readings in the coolant temperature gauge. We had it diagnosed and then replaced by a dealer in Ogden, Utah. Etc , but this head gasket known to be a bad design , subaru should own up. Replaced thermostat, leaking hose, water pump, timing belt + tensioners.
