Recall these cars before somebody dies. Is there anything else that may cause this problem? I wouldn't normally file a report for this but after research on the internet I see where there are dozens of owners reporting the same problem with the same vehicle. Towed a car Toyota Camry up to my son at college, didn't know the thing was behind us. How are your front tires? We were looking at Acura's and Ford Explorer's. While driving approximately 35 mph all of the interior and exterior lights came on.
I have been waiting for two weeks to get my Rainer back. Very dangerous on a slick road. How many millions of defective vehicles have been placed on the road in the last 7 years? For one you getleather interior as opposed to the others you have to upgrade to leather; the front passenger seat is fully power which is a definite plus for the wife or husband; chrome details everywhere; good stereo sound; smooth ride; really quiet with the extra insulated doors and frame; good mileage on the highway, and overall a beautiful looking suv. When given the ok to proceed, the dealership said that new bundles were no longer available, and rebuilt bundles would have to be used - and none were currently available. I did some research on this problem and found that the instrument panel cluster has been a known problem in gm cars, and was supposed to have been corrected as the result of a class action lawsuit. I took it to the dealership and of course it would not occur and the mechanic found no codes and said he could not find anything wrong.
I do not have any warning lights, the truck runs and drives great otherwise. This could be on either wheel, so check both. My Buick has the upgraded V-8 engine, which is very powerful and fast. You can also hear the knocking noise when outside the vehicle. I left Coggin, taking the high road, only to be called back by the manager. The following day I went down to test drive the car. Pull the wheel off and check the wiring that goes to the wheel sensor.
The vehicle was not taken to the dealer to diagnose the failure. In other cases, when standing still, the speedometer showed a speed of 35 mph. If the light continues to flash, have the system serviced. The contact stated that the speedometer stopped functioning. This it the most quiet car I've ever ridden in, it's silent.
I've had the truck for 2 years and between myself, my husband and 17yr old son we've racked up over 45,000 miles. The defective speedometer problem continues today, and I have to believe that the unavailability of new bundles, if correct, means that this is likely a widespread problem and potentially major safety issue. Has anyone had this problem. I would not hesitate to deal with Clay on another vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
They suggested leaving the vehicle, removing the bundle and sending it away for rebuilding, and then installing it back into the vehicle. I am having a hard time, but from what I can tell so far it is expensive to fix or even find a used one. I had an identical problem with a 2003 Cadillac esclade xt and there was a recall and free replace for the instrument cluster. These problems happen individually or several at once. It had very few miles on it. The exterior styling is extraordinary.
When activated it turns the sector shaft of the transfer case clockwise or counter clockwise to apply and release the transfer case clutch pack. Thanks in advance for any ideas. NewUsedFilter selectedNewUsedList, null ; newUsedFilter. The manufacturer was notified, who informed the contact that the issue was a result of the design. I contacted gm about the problem and they acknowledge there is a problem with instrument clusters in certain vehicles during that period of time but my vehicle is no involved.
To have it checked out the service guy said that quite a few people have been in with that problem. Disorganized - Called me two weeks later after I had purchased the car to ask if I was interested in a car. The Buick Rainier sport-utility vehicle, new for 2004, is a luxury liner. Already had Front Differential fixed twice. You get so much more for your money with the Rainier.
Its a 2004 and it had 153000 miles. The Rainier is available only in the short-wheelbase 113-inch configuration--no seven-passenger stretch version will be offered. Sometimes it says I'm going faster than I am, sometimes it says I'm going slower. Subsequently, and intermittently, the speedometer works correctly, and then reverts to defective mode. My hat come off to Buick for creating such a wonderful vechicle. This defect must be similar to other models in the gm family, trailblazer and envoy. If one person were to rely on this faulty speedometer they might think they were driving 40 when in actuality they could be driving in excess of 70.
How are your front tires? And should I be on the highway, driving along at 90 mph, when my speedometer says 60, nobody is safe. I only drive short distances and mostly into and back from town 6 mile one way. The sky was clear, the moon full. The Rendezvous was a good Crossover to hold us over until the real man stepped up. I find it unforgivable that the national highway traffic safety administration has allowed an unsafe condition exist in virtually an entire brand of cars for over 7 years and has not issued a recall on these vehicles.
