If it has the Delco theftlock system you will not be able to use the stereo without the code when you hook the battery back up. Also, during the colder winter months, the spedometer would stick anywhere between 20-50mph.
If it is a manufacture park got defected, it is the manufacture problem, and it need to be replaced with no charge. Always verify all wires, wire colors and diagrams before applying any information found here to your 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe. This Tahoe does not have the 'Climate Control' version, it is the manual control system. The wires are loose and whenever the vehicle warms up the wires move or if I hit a bump it will stop working, I am wondering if anyone knows if the dealer will even be able to fix this problem with out replacing all the wiring? This may include the speedometer and odometer, tachometer, fuel level, temperature, oil pressure, gauges and more. The side terminal battery cables are notorious for corrosion issues and getting loose over time but the issue could be any of the grounding straps or cables.
